Market recognition has been evidenced by the greater number of investors who have acquired our shares, which has meant having more than 3,300 shareholders as of December 31, 2020, as well as the good reception to the corporate bonds placed by the company in the international market in 2013 for US$ 300 million and in the private placement for US$ 90 million in 2020.

Recognition “The Voice of the Market (La Voz del Mercado)”

The Ranking “The Voice of the Market” 2020, presented by EY and the Lima Stock Exchange (Bolsa de Valores de Lima) (BVL), recognized Ferreycorp as the first company with the best Corporate Governance practices, among the 69 issuers that make up the ranking. The study that gave rise to the ranking is the result of an anonymous survey conducted by Kantar Millward Brown Peru, in which more than 391 specialists participated, including institutional investors, financial analysts, risk raters, corporate bankers, regulators, company directors, academics and business journalists. In this way, the perception of the main local and foreign capital market agents regarding the quality of the Corporate Governance of the companies analyzed is gathered.

Ferreycorp integrates the new S&P/BVL Peru General ESG Index

The Lima Stock Exchange and S&P Dow Jones Indices announced the inclusion of Ferreycorp in the new S&P/BVL Peru General ESG Index, the first index of its kind for the Peruvian market, providing a benchmark of sustainable environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria that follows a “best in class” approach for the Peruvian stock market, to help promote sustainable business activities in the local market.
This new index will replace the Good Corporate Governance Index as of January 1, 2022.

Distinction “The Key to the BVL (La Llave de la BVL)” – 2019, 2018, 2017, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2008

In 2019, the Lima Stock Exchange awarded Ferreycorp the “Key of the BVL”, a symbol of trust and recognition for having obtained the highest score in compliance with the Principles of Good Corporate Governance, for the liquidity of its shares and for being among the five companies in the “Voice of the Market” ranking.

This recognition was granted after a complete validation process, carried out by a consulting firm qualified by the BVL, regarding the self-assessment presented by the company in its annual report on its good corporate governance practices during 2019. Said validation found that the company complied 100% with the principles in this field.
In the same way, Ferreycorp received this important award in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2008, the latter in the framework of the launching of the Good Corporate Governance Index (IBGC) (Índice de Buen Gobierno Corporativo – IBGC), which allows investors to recognize companies with the best corporate governance practices in Peru.

Good Corporate Governance Index

Ferreycorp S.A.A. is part of the Good Corporate Governance Index (IBGC) of the Lima Stock Exchange (2008-2021), which groups companies with the best corporate governance practices in Peru.

Since its launch in 2008, this indicator has shown lower volatility than the rest of the Lima Stock Exchange indexes, demonstrating that the companies that comprise it have elements that generate a perception of greater stability and lower risk among investors.

Best Practices: Good Corporate Governance

The Best Practices: Good Corporate Governance recognition is an award granted by Pacific Credit Rating (PCR) on its own initiative, which highlights the institution’s capacity and level of compliance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance for Peruvian Companies. Ferreycorp stood out for its excellence in complying with the 26 principles during 2010. This award is a reflection of a transparent and efficient administration with equitable treatment of the stakeholders directly involved.

Good Corporate Governance Awards 2010: “Best Treatment of Shareholders”

For the third time, Ferreycorp won the “Best Treatment of Shareholders” award in this competition, in recognition of its strong commitment to good corporate governance practices. It was also a finalist in the “Transparency of Information” category.

Good Corporate Governance 2008: “Best Treatment of Shareholders” and “Best Board Policies”

The company was the winner in the categories “Best Treatment of Shareholders” and “Best Board Policies” -the latter in a tie with a leading firm-. It was also a finalist in the categories “Transparency of information” and “Best behavior with the internal and external environment”.

Special Good Corporate Governance Award 2007 “Best Progress in the Implementation of Corporate Governance Practices”

The award, also given to the firm Edegel, recognizes Ferreycorp’ sustained efforts in favor of good corporate governance in the organization. Ferreycorp was also a finalist in the categories Best Treatment of Shareholders, Best Board Policies, Best Annual Report and Best Web as a Communication Tool, as well as in the Lima Stock Exchange Special Award.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index for MILA-Pacific Alliance region (Índice de Sostenibilidad Dow Jones para la región MILA- Alianza del Pacífico)

Ferreycorp Corporation was once again included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the MILA- Pacific Alliance region, reaffirming its position as the only Peruvian company present in all editions since its launch in 2017. The company integrates for the fifth consecutive year this listing, together with other outstanding Peruvian firms; and is, at the same time, the only representative of the capital goods category in our country.

ALAS20 Recognition

ALAS20 is a Latin American initiative that evaluates, rates and comprehensively recognizes excellence in the public disclosure of information on sustainable development practices, corporate governance and responsible investments of companies and investments in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. In November 2020, the ALAS20 awards ceremony for Peru was held, in which Ferreycorp obtained the following recognitions:

  • First place in the category “Leading Company in Sustainability, Peru”
  • Second place in the category “Corporate Governance, Peru”
  • ALAS20 Peru COMPANY Recognition

World Finance Corporate Governance Awards 2011 and 2012

The prestigious English magazine World Finance, considered one of the most important economic, financial and business publications worldwide, distinguished Ferreycorp S.A.A. as the leading company in Peru in terms of good corporate governance for the second consecutive year. El World Finance Corporate Governance Awards recognizes those companies that, like Ferreycorp, have achieved levels of excellence in criteria such as:

  • Governance structure, composition of the Board of Directors and committees
  • Policies of the Board of Directors
  • Management and transparency in the disclosure of relevant information to the market
  • Effective use of internal audit
  • Encouragement of a greater number of investors
  • The winning companies not only comply with the formal requirements and regulatory framework for good corporate governance, but also present high standards of transparency in the provision of information and develop exemplary practices in their relationship with shareholders and stakeholders.

This award represents further recognition of Ferreycorp’ strong commitment to good corporate governance practices and its leadership in this area.

Garrigues- Affinitas Good Corporate Governance Awards in Latin America

The recognition of Ferreycorp’ good corporate governance practices by international institutions is expressed in its distinction as a finalist in the Garrigues- Affinitas Awards for Good Corporate Governance in Latin America, granted in November 2006 by Garrigues- Affinitas in the city of Madrid, Spain. “For its recognized practices of respect for shareholders’ rights, equitable treatment, attention to stakeholders, communication, transparency, management responsibility and, in short, for the adoption of best practices in good governance, we wish to express our highest consideration and recognition, as well as our sincerest congratulations”.

Ferreycorp, member of Companies Circle of the Latin American Governance Roundtable

In the year 2006, Ferreycorp joined Companies Circle of the Latin American Corporate Governance Roundtable, which is made up of 19 Latin American companies that are leaders in the implementation of good corporate governance practices in the region. This space, promoted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), together with its eight founding members, aims to:

  • To be a forum for discussion on the challenges and achievements in improving corporate governance.
  • Share with the Latin American business community the practical solutions they have found to the challenges of good corporate governance, and
  • Contribute to the work of Latin American Corporate Governance Roundtable, with the vision and experience of companies that have already undergone a high degree of reform.

Ferreycorp participates every year in the circle’s meetings, where valuable experiences and positions on good governance issues are exchanged. The general manager of Ferreycorp, Mariela Garcia de Fabbri, is president of Companies Circle of the Latin American Governance Roundtable.
